Questions from Xiamen, China

Post by cndaisyccc » Mon Jul 22, 2019 10:17 am

This is a great novel full of mysteries and puzzles, making readers think about the human nature.

I think the climax of the whole book is in Part Three, when Pi told two different stories. It really is hard to tell which one is true, when unexpectedly the second but such a brutal story came up. I guess many people, just like me, might think yes this could happen, but maybe only secretary think so, just like Mr. Okamoto and Mr. Chiba, saying they prefer the story with animals. My question is, why Pi then say “so it goes with God”? What does this mean? Is there a TRUE story in these two? Is there a correct answer to which story is true and which is not?
